Recently, the technological achievement evaluation meeting of the "Key Technology Research and Application of 7000-ton Super-large Die Casting Equipment" project, led by LK Group's Shenzhen Leadwell Technology Co., Ltd., was held at the Xiaopeng Motors Guangzhou Intelligent Connected Vehicle Smart Manufacturing Base.

Attending the meeting were Liu Yihua, Deputy Director-General and Secretary-General of the Guangdong Mechanical Engineering Society; Guo Lianfen, Deputy Secretary-General; Lu Ya, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Intelligent Robotics Research Institute; Yan Zhaokai, Process Technology Expert at Xiaopeng Motors; Wang Zhaowei, Vehicle Body Technology Expert; Cai Hengzhi, Senior Engineer at LK Group's Technical Development Center, and other participants.

The project was jointly completed by LK Group's Shenzhen Leadwell Technology Co., Ltd., LK Machinery (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Zhaoqing Xiaopeng New Energy Investment Co., Ltd., Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Zhaoqing Xiaopeng New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Branch, Fuxin LK Northern Machinery Co., Ltd., Fuxin Lida Steel Casting Co., Ltd., and the Guangdong Intelligent Robotics Research Institute. It aimed to address the challenges posed by the deformation superposition of heavy-duty linear guides, specifically the 'template-base-guide rail' configuration, leading to decreased stiffness. This initiative proposed a new type of die-casting equipment configuration for large thin-walled structural parts integration. To optimize complex process parameters such as injection speed, sprue velocity, and filling time, a collaborative simulation technology based on surrogate models and numerical simulations was introduced. Furthermore, a high-energy-efficient servo energy-saving system and high-performance injection material system were designed. This resulted in the development of a 7000-ton die-casting equipment for large thin-walled structural parts integration, applied in new energy vehicle plants for industrialization.

During the project implementation, 5 PCT applications were filed, securing 7 authorized invention patents, 49 utility model patents, and leading or participating in the formulation of 2 national standards and 2 industry standards, demonstrating independent intellectual property rights. The project's products were tested by third-party organizations, meeting relevant standards and receiving positive feedback from users, leading to significant economic and social benefits. After listening to project development reports, site visits, and expert inquiries, the appraisal committee unanimously agreed that the project demonstrated strong innovation, leading-edge technology domestically, reaching international advanced levels, and approved the technological achievement evaluation.

Presently, there are numerous technological and market gaps globally in the super-large die-casting unit field. The rapid development of global new energy vehicle manufacturers has raised higher demands for vehicle lightweighting. The integration of large components like battery boxes and car body structural parts into a single molding is an essential direction for automotive lightweighting.

The LK's large thin-walled structural parts integration 7000-ton die-casting equipment features a high-performance injection material system, achieving significant breakthroughs in speed control, position control, and pressurization control. Equipped with servo energy-saving control systems and intelligent peripheral equipment, it significantly reduces production energy consumption compared to traditional die-casting equipment, enhances production efficiency, and realizes automated green production. It actively contributes to reducing the overall vehicle manufacturing costs for automobile manufacturing companies while lowering energy consumption and enhancing endurance, positively contributing to green industries and the "dual-carbon" sustainable development goals.
